District Swimming

This week at MSAC outdoor pool the following students were representing BPS at the District Swimming Carnival:

PHOEBE S.ABIGAIL D.SAM M.JAMES D.KRISTA B.YASMIN G.
 PHOEBE K.OLIVIA B.SAM M.JAMES D.VIOLET O.

For our grade 4 students this was their first opportunity to compete at this level and all that entails with the excitement and the nerves! Whilst some of our grade 6 students were competing for the last time in a primary school swimming event.

The team was superbly led by our 2021 Swim Captains, Alice and Lachlan both in and out of the pool with Alice also breaking the district record in the breaststroke.

There are 2 aspects to the competition, individual advancement to division for our first placed finishers. Also on a team level to try to compete against the 7 other local schools to win the Seaside District Swimming Shield and I am incredibly proud to report that all the team's hard work paid off and BPS were crowned Champions for 2021!

Many thanks to our parent helpers, Fleur Delves, Pip Scarff and our teachers who guided, supported and cheered our team, Ms. Runciman, Ms Jeffress and Mrs. Travis.

Also, thanks go to our incredible support crew of parents and grandparents who all stayed to support the team and cheer them home.

At the end of the carnival we have 10 students progressing to the Division Final at Oakleigh Recreation Centre on the 15 March.

Good luck to:
