Some examples of how we are generating interest and excitement in our literacy lessons along with incorporating some student voice.

Student choice library books in students' book boxes.
Introducing Book Clubs in 5/6 where the students select the text they would like to read and discuss with their peers.
Bringing in writing 'seeds' from home in Year 3/4 to assist in generating ideas for writing.
Being 'Word Detectives' in Foundation and participating in craft activities relating to the letters they are learning.
