Each year, The University of Melbourne Colin McCormick Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding student of Italian. The 2020 recipient of the award is former student Sam Warner. During the awards ceremony on Wednesday, 10th March, Sam was presented with his cheque for $2,900.

Sam was acknowledged for his ability and passion for Italian. During his acceptance speech, Sam acknowledged all of his Italian teachers who supported and encouraged him during his time at the College. The Selection Committee also praised Mazenod College for having produced three award recipients since the introduction of the award. Sam is planning to major in Italian and Politics.
