Principal's Message

Dear Parents, students and the wider community,

Congratulations Foundation- you did it- a whole week of school!

Well done to our Year 5/ 6 students who have completed the Urban Camp today. Having spent yesterday with the campers I can only say what a wonderful experience it has been for them all. I hope it brings them many happy memories even as adults.  I think as parents you can also be proud of the general manners the students displayed while I was present- they represented our school and their families with pride. Again thanks to Miss O'Donnell, Miss Eagling, Mrs Carr, Mrs Brooking and Mr Mitchell for attending the camp and making it such a positive experience.

This week the Year 3/ 4's shared a lovely Mass together with Fr Francis. Mass in the church is able to be attended by adults and it was wonderful to see families join the students today. There are COVID safe protocols in place including signing in, wearing a mask, social distancing and using sanitiser.

Thanks for one of the parents providing a contact for an interested builder to install the steps needed on the front and back decks and to install the ceilings over these two decks. I would be pleased to hear from another couple of builders so as to get the best deal for the school. If you know of someone who would be interested, and have the capacity to complete these jobs please have them contact the office to speak with me.

I trust you and your families are meeting your Lenten challenges as we prepare for Easter. Here are some thoughts from Pope Francis on the Season of Lent:-

"Dear Brothers and Sisters, every moment of our lives is a time for believing, hoping and loving. The call to experience Lent as a journey of conversion, prayer and sharing of our goods, helps us- as communities and as individuals- to revive the faith that comes from the living Christ, the hope inspired by the breath of the Holy Spirit and the love flowing from the merciful heart of the Father.

A reminder that Monday is a public holiday for Labour Day. I hope you enjoy a great long weekend.

May God bless you all,

Rod Shaw

Principal
