I am pleased to announce that we will be opening our canteen for over-the-counter sales at Friday recess, starting today (5/3). We will be selling icy-poles, drinks and snacks with pricing between $1 (icy-poles and fruit juice boxes) and $2 (sparkling fruit juice).

There’s no need to order in advance, just give your child a gold coin or two if you’d like them to be able to buy something. We will be fine-tuning our menu over the coming few weeks and trying to find a middle ground of food and drinks that children enjoy while still trying to encourage healthy eating.

This will be a volunteer-run service with all proceeds going to the school and we are looking for parents who can help out regularly or occasionally on Fridays from 10:30-12:00. Please let me know if you might be available.

Yesterday was the first day our our new Canteen service with Miss Peppercorn. We will be having a weekly service on Thursdays where Miss Peppercorn prepares and delivers the food and drinks to our school. The delivery is made at lunchtime so you will still need to pack a recess snack for your child, even if you order from the snack menu.

If you'd like to place an order for your child, it can be done online through Flexischools and must be submitted before 9:00am on the morning of the canteen day (Thursday).  Cancellations can be made up until 9:30am on the day and must be done by calling Miss Peppercorn on 9877 5183.
