Each week we focus on a lesson from our Behaviour Matrix.
Week 6 - Bee Safe - Learning Settings - Ask permission to leave learning areas. Only in a classroom when a teacher is present.
Week 7 - Bee Respectful - Learning Settings - Respect others' right to learn. Keep classroom area neat and tidy
Week 8 - Bee Responsible - Learning Settings - Be an active learner and show attentive behaviour. Be prepared and willing to learn.
Week 9 - Bee Respectful- All Settings- Use manners. Take turns/make turns.
Week 10 - Review School Wide expectations
Daily actions to help you take the time to pause, breathe and really take in what's all around us.
The Smiling Mind Schools Program is an evidence-based approach to support student mental health and wellbeing. Students at Glenore Grove State School engage with this program regularly through 'Brain Boost' lessons. Smiling Mind has an application that can be used by families at home too. Over the next few weeks during Brain Boost lessons students in Prep - Yr 2 will be learning about having a growth mindset. Making mistakes, failures & challenges. They will be learning about perseverance and how they can train their brains through practise. Students in Yrs 3 - 6 will look at mental health & other information about brain health.
During Social Emotional Learning Lessons students are covering information about their feelings, self control and problem solving. If you would like more specific information please contact your classroom teacher or refer to class newsletters from our last newsletter.
