Around The School - Mr O'Toole, Assistant Principal

Wow! What a fabulous night and what a show the students and staff of St Joseph’s put on at the TRECC last Thursday night in our Dance Extravaganza for 2019. In fact I feel for anyone who was unable to make it on the evening as the students who were capably led by our Year Six students really turned on something that was very special and indeed spectacular.

Just watching their faces indicated to all of us the amount of fun they were having on stage and in the audience. They thoroughly deserve the congratulations and accolades that they so richly received during the performances throughout the evening. I cannot praise highly enough the amount of work that went into the show from the students, staff and parents in ensuring that the children were primed for the night.

The noise, cheering, whistles and thunderous applause contributed to the tremendous spirit of the evening. It makes our school community very proud to hear the positive comments being conveyed to the school and students. Well done! A massive thank you to the Catholic Schools Office for their assistance in providing such a unique and wonderful experience for every student in our school, they definitely appreciated the opportunity to showcase their talents on stage in front of family and friends. It was truly a wonderful community event.

This week our Stage 3 students will have the opportunity to visit our nation’s capital, Canberra, on their biennial excursion. The students eagerly boarded the bus today at 7.00am and departed on the long journey for Canberra. It will be great to stay up to date on their daily activities through our school facebook page.

As the weather is warming up, it is really important for the students to be wearing a hat whenever they are outside. It is also an expectation and shows great respect for our school that the students are wearing the correct full summer uniform. We ask for parent support in reminding your child to wear the correct uniform every day.
