Several students have been cooking Nasi Goreng (fried rice) at home with a family member.
Here below is my favourite recipe that you can try.
You will need:
2 tabs oil
2 eggs, lightly beaten
Salt and pepper
2 chicken thigh fillets, sliced
3 cups of cold, cooked rice
4 spring onions, chopped
1 carrot, grated
1/2 cup cooked green peas
1-2 tabs of kecap manis (sweet Indonesian soy sauce) or soy sauce.
Lets get cooking!
Heat 1 tabs oil in frying pan and cook the eggs seasoned with salt and pepper. Stir to scramble. Set aside on a plate. Cook the chicken. Set aside. Heat remaining oil and stir-fry the rice. Next, add the spring onions, carrot, chicken and peas and stir until heated through. Stir with the soy sauce and mix the eggs through.
