Principal's Message

Nurture.  Innovate.  Celebrate

Dear Students, Parents, Carers and Families,

ONLINE BOOK WEEK CELEBRATION

Each year across Australia, the CBCA brings children and books together celebrating CBCA Book Week. During this time schools, libraries, booksellers, authors, illustrators and children celebrate Australian children's literature.

This week is Book Week with a difference as we celebrate the power and awesomeness of books online. Rather than completely postponing this fun and exciting event, we decided to still have a dress-up online. When we return to school, we will hold a live costume day with parade and the best costume in each year level will receive a book voucher prize.

The theme this year is Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds, so let your imagination run wild!

It was great to see so many of our school community celebrating Book Week by dressing up at home as their favourite book character! There were so many great costumes. It is pleasing to see that our children’s enthusiasm for reading is so strong and it really can take us to other worlds, old and new!

Here are a few of the many great photos from our community.

Can’t wait until we get to do this together at school!
