                             Are you feeling dotty?

Well, it is International DOT Day

ON

Wednesday, 15th September, 2021!

The Dot’ is a story written by Peter H. Reynolds about a caring teacher who dares a doubting student to trust in her own abilities by being brave enough to “make her mark”. What begins with a small dot on a piece of paper becomes a breakthrough in confidence and courage, igniting a journey of self-discovery and sharing, which has gone on to inspire countless children and adults around the globe.

Dot Day is a fun way to remember that we are ALL creative in our own way and we can also “make our mark” in so many ways.

Look out for the Art Slideshow prepared for students to work through over the next two weeks via their classroom learning. There is so much fun to be had with any or all of the activities listed, however it would be great to see families all joining in the fun and seeing how dotty we can all be!

So…how will you celebrate DOT day this year?

I would love to put together a slideshow to share the creative way in which you have all celebrated so please feel free to send me any related photos @ ivana.dabb@ssrowville.catholic.edu.au of your child/children doing the suggested activities (Art:Weeks 9 & 10) or …why not come up with one of your own as a family…(HINT: dress ups are always fun !)

Looking forward to sharing in the fun,

Mrs. Dabb
