DAREBIN DIVISION ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

The Darebin Division Athletics Carnival was held on Wednesday July 14 in cold and wet conditions. 

We had 64 students competing in the different events, who all performed very well, especially considering the conditions! 

Our athletes won 33 individual events and also 4 of the 4x100m relays. The winners have all advanced through to the North Metro Regional finals.

Well done to everyone who competed!

FOOTBALL

During week 1 of term, two of our football teams played in the local Darebin Division round.

The Year 9/10 Boys team won both their games to advance through to the North Metro Region finals. It was a high scoring performance in both our games in what were very strong displays.

The combined Year 7-10 Girls team played a great match against Northcote High School. 

The key focus from the coaches were:

• Help out a teammate
• Talk to each other on the field
• Gain ground wherever possible

The team definitely achieved these 3 aims, and even more impressive considering it was a joint team from multiple year levels.
