District/Division Cross Country

On Thursday 15th July we were lucky enough to participate in the District/Division Cross Country. Despite some very slippery and muddy conditions everyone did an amazing job, running against up to 180 competitors in each race. I am very proud to announce that Scoresby PS finished 5th in the Scoresby District Competition.

I would like to give an extra congratulations to Zac and Tarkyn who finished in the top twelve for their age group, qualifying them for the Regional Cross Country. This was an amazing effort.

Foundation - Year 4 Swimming Update

Due to the extended lockdown, the rescheduled F-4 Swimming Program to be held next week has been cancelled.  We will be in contact with Knox Leisureworks as to if/when this can be rescheduled and will communicate any update to families.

Hooptime Update

Due to this week's lockdown, the 5/6 Hooptime day has had to be postponed. We are looking at possible dates in Term 4 to reschedule the event. I will update 3/4 students as soon as I receive any information about their upcoming Hooptime day on 25th August.

5/6 Summer Sport

Winter Sport Division Finals

It was fantastic that we managed to squeeze in our Division Sport finals last week. Congratulations to our Girls Soccer team and our Girls and Mixed Netball teams who made it through to the Division finals. Despite not progressing any further, I know that all teams performed well on the day and represented Scoresby exceptionally well.

The 5/6 Team have provided reports on the the two finals, along with photos, below.

Knox Division Soccer Finals

On Tuesday 3rd August, Izzy, Sarah, Calista, Anneka, Skylah, Mia and Emma went to Knox Division Soccer. We all had so much fun! Anneka, Izzy and Sarah scored goals. We lost two games and tied one. On our last game, we were trying our best to win as this would give us 3rd place, but sadly we didn’t win. We are so proud of the girl’s team.

Knox Division Netball Finals

Last week, the Girls and the Mixed Netball teams competed in the Knox Division Netball. We were transported by our teachers' cars to Knox Regional Netball Centre in Ferntree Gully. The Girls team played a total of 7 games and the Mixed team played 4 games. The Girls team won 2 out of 7 games and the Mixed team won none. The schools we were competing against were very challenging, but it was still very fun and enjoyable. Our Girls team came 7th place and we are proud of what we achieved.
