Book Week
......and neither is Book Week!
UPDATE UPDATE!! It is now :(
Next Monday 23rd August the school was to hold its annual Book Week parade.
This will be postponed for a later date.
St Luke's Reading Challenge
To coincide with Book Week, St Luke's is holding a Reading Challenge. The goal of the Reading Challenge is 1. To build a culture of reading within the school. 2. To open students' minds to wonderful new worlds through the joy of reading books.
Reading challenges are not just about reading as many books as you can it's about encouraging readers to find more diverse authors and books that they might not normally read, which is great. To go along with the challenge is Book Bingo, a grid of ideas of different types of books to read. The challenge will finish at the end of the term.
Uniforms
A number of students are coming to the office looking for lost jumpers and jackets. Could everyone please check their children's clothing to make sure they haven't accidentally picked up another child's uniform. Please ensure that all uniform is clearly labelled.
ICAS
For students who have previously enrolled in ICAS testing this will now take place in October. Students will be notified closer to the date of the tests.
A message from the Bus company
Please be aware that students travelling to and/or from school on the buses must either have a bus pass or pay to use this service. Any students who do not will be asked to hop off the bus. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the appropriate bus company.
