Cultural Festival 2021

Ms Lorella Masci

Learning Area Advisor: The Arts

Our current Mt A students were all born in the 2000s so on our feast and festival day they can relive nostalgic and defining moments that shaped their early years through the fashions, pop culture, the songs, books, films, and celebrities of the first 21 years of this millennium.  The 2000s is also the theme for this year’s much anticipated day to end Term 3 and to celebrate the feast day of St Francis on Friday 17 September.

Students are invited to start creating their costumes to wear in our parade. Many students have signed up to perform in heats next week, to decide who will perform at the 2021 Cultural Festival. Students are encouraged to put themselves forward to share their talents with the College community in categories such as acting out, singing (solo or in a group), instrumental and dance. Further competition categories include cake decorating and the literature awards. A highlight of the day is the display of house spirit in The Battle of the Houses. Which house will win this year?
