Year 7 Art

Year 7 art students working at home have been wonderfully creative and having fun. They were asked to look at the Self Portrait and Photography as an art form. They then created a portrait of themselves using three dimensional symbols to visually tell a story about their personality, likes and dislikes.

The work presented gives insight into our visually creative and diverse students. The extension task challenge, was to research the artist Christian Thomson and create a second portrait which demonstrated connection to environment.

Congratulations to our students who produced some wonderfully creative and fun photographic self-portraits.

Year 5 Art

A few of our Grade 5 students enjoyed recreating famous artworks as part of the Quarantine Art Challenge. Students recreated works of art with found objects at home. Well done Grade 5s – what fun recreations you made!

Year 4 Art

The Grade 4 students enjoyed working with ceramics in Week 3 to create their ceramic pots. Students worked in pairs to learn the technique of slab building with clay. I am very much looking forward to us getting back to school and continuing our work on this project! Well done Grade 4s.
