Olympics

ELC 3 - Olympic Fun 

During the Olympic Games the children in the ELC 3 group participated in a number of sporting activities both at PMP and in the playground.  They jumped, climbed, ran, tossed bean bags at targets and followed an obstacle course taking them across many different levels. They painted flags of Australia and the countries of their heritage.  They also made salt dough medals and proudly wore them at the end of our ELC Olympics.

Year 4 - Olympic Mascots

With the commencement of the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games, Year 4 investigated the significance of mascots, in particular Olympic mascots. Linking in with our work in Environmental Education, Year 4 students used recyclable and reusable materials, supplemented with craft materials they may have had at home, to create their own Olympic Mascot.

Year 5 - Olympic Celebrations

Year 5 have been getting in the Olympic spirit by creating their own Olympic torch and participating in a dress up day where students could come in Australian themed clothing or a uniform of a specific sport. They have also been completing an Olympic Games diary which will be a great way to document different teams and sports participating in the Olympics and their accomplishments.
