ASRC Food and Essentials Drive

The Year 12 VCAL class has extended their food and essential drive for the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre (ARSRC) until Friday 10 September.  

 

The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre is an asylum seeker support organisation in Australia. The ASRC provides aid, justice and empowerment programs to over 1000 asylum seekers living in the community seeking refugee protection. The ASRC is run by a team of volunteers and paid staff.

 

The boxes for donations are available in the Main Office, Careers Office and all 3 Sub School Offices.

 

We can accept                    

Tuna in oil – 400g, tinned tomatoes – 400g, honey – small bottles, raw unsalted nuts – almonds, walnuts, cashews, spices – small packs cumin, turmeric, chilli, coconut cream, sweet and savoury biscuits, dried fruit – apricots, dates, peanut butter, full cream UHT milk – 1 litre, deodorant, disposable razors, shampoo and conditioner, laundry powder – max 1kg, dishwashing liquid – 1 litre, deodorant (spray), toothbrush and toothpaste, toilet paper, washing powder, baby wipes (unscented).

 

We can’t accept 

Used or opened item/products, canned or packet soups, highly processed, ready-made meals such as packaged mac and cheese, sweets, soft drinks, chips, sauces and other condiments.
