Ensemble Performance

Congratulations to Year 11 and Year 12 Drama students on their Ensemble Performance SACs during Week 9, Term 2.

After several changes of dates due to remote learning, it was great for the students to be able to present their pieces, albeit live-streamed from the theatre to friends and family at home. 

This year’s stimulus was a line from a William Blake poem, “When the doors of perception are cleansed, all will be revealed.” 

Students will now be busy preparing for their Solo Performances which will be show-cased later in Term 3.

The Mermaid

On Thursday July 17, VCE Drama students went to see the playlist performance of ‘The Mermaid’ at La Mama Theatre.  

A contemporary reimagining of Hans Christian Anderson’s dark fairy tale, The Little Mermaid.

The Mermaid is a coming-of-age story co-created by nine 13-16 year olds, who have simultaneously grown into adults.

This production is a part of the VCE playlist in 2021.
