Grade 5/6 Camp

Grade 5/6 Melbourne Camp expression of interest notes and $50 deposit were due back tomorrow however due to the lockdown this timeline has been extended by two weeks, so are now due in by Friday 13 August.

Prep Enrolments

Primary Swimming Program

The primary swimming program will be running in term 3.  This year will be a free program.

More information and notes will come out early term 3.  Please see the flyer below for the schedule.

Prep/One Swimming Reminder

Prep/one students will be participating in swimming lessons next week.

Notes are being sent home today with P/1 Students.

Please fill in the paper copy or on Compass as soon as possible.

(We apologise for the late notice, these were originally due to go home whilst we were in lockdown).

Please note: Lessons are at First Stroke Mildura and we will be the only school using the pool during that time.

Students will be getting in their bathers at school to travel to the pool and then get changed into dry clothes at the pool ready to return to school.

Unfortunately we cannot allow parents to come and watch this year due to restrictions.

Student Pickup from Back Gate

Due to the large number of parents who are choosing to pick up students at the Game Street gate during afternoon pick up times, it is vital that parents assist younger students to access vehicles.  We are now posting a yard duty teacher at the gate to make sure students only leave the school grounds after their parents turn up.  To ensure the safety of all students, we strongly urge parents of younger children to leave their cars once they are parked and wait for children at the gate.  Parents can then safely escort children to their cars.

Dogs on School Grounds

If you are bringing a dog to school at pick-up or drop-off times please make sure it is on a lead and that you wait outside the gate for your child/ren.  We have students with allergies and some students that are very nervous around dogs. Thank you.

School Pick up

At the end of the school day, parents are requested to wait outside Learning Centres while classes are still operating. If parents need to speak with a teacher please contact Heather Collihole on 50252501 and a time will be arranged. The primary end of day bell is at 3:12pm.

Before School

Families please be aware that students who arrive at school before 8.40am can go to the Breakfast Club, held in the Canteen from 8.15am. Alternatively, they may sit on the seats at the back of the Green Building until 8.40am.  Students are not to play out the front of the Green Building until 8.40am when the front playground is supervised and the doors of the Green Building are opened.

Lost Property

We have a LOT of primary jumpers in our lost property.  If your child is missing a jumper please tell them to ask Mrs Collihole if it is in lost property.

There are also a LOT of containers and drink bottles too.

Naming Articles

Please remember it is very important to name all your children’s property clearly, especially hats and jumpers, bags, drink bottles and lunch containers.

Severe Food Allergies

There are students at the school with severe food allergies.  Please remind your child that their food is not to be shared.

School Wide Positive Behaviour (SWPB) Posters

Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)

Cheryll Hodge is our school’s OSHC coordinator and can be contacted on 0428 258035 if you have any queries. Please remember to contact Cheryll if your child/children are booked in and won't be attending.

Blue Book Library Bags

Reminder that all students need a suitable waterproof bag to put their library and reading books in to take home.  Blue book/library bags are for sale at the school uniform shop.  Students are to return their diaries, books and bags every day after reading their book at home.
