Looking ahead to 2022

It’s great to be back once again after a lockdown.  We seem to get better at the transition every time, and there’s always great energy around the school when we return from a period of remote learning. 

With students in Years 7 to 11 having completed their planning and subject selection for 2022 the focus for the remainder of this term is very much on the Year 12s.  Today all year 12s began the process of planning and applying for 2022 in their Connect session.  Tertiary providers have again worked hard to ensure that students have every opportunity to pursue their dream course through direct entry, early entry or pathways. 

Final reminder - VET applications for 2022

Any students in years 9-11 who are hoping to undertake a VET course in 2022 as part of their program should now have submitted their completed application form to M11.  Courses fill up fast and late applicants might miss their preferred course.  If you have any questions about the VET program in 2022 please see Lou or Booma in M11. 

Information about VTAC process for Year 12 students

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide an information evening on campus again this year due to COVID restrictions.  However, I have recorded a presentation for students and parents which explains the VTAC process.  The presentation covers how to apply for courses, SEAS and scholarships. To access the presentation you can use THIS LINK. The password to watch it is NHS2021

CASPer entry requirements for teaching courses 

A reminder that students who are applying for education or teaching courses in 2022 need to book to complete the CASPer test.  This is designed to assess an applicant’s personal and professional attributes.  If you are planning on applying for teaching courses you should go to https://takealtus.com/ to sign up and register for a test date.
