Congratulations to all Primary students who auditioned for GRIPPS 2022 and to the students who had the privilege of participating in the Music Camp – Gabriel Pua (6R), Lleyton Viljoen (5B), Pedro Chadud (5W). With the uncertainty around COVID-19 restrictions over the last few years, it was wonderful to witness the concert on Thursday evening and to see how much can be achieved after just 4 days of rehearsing. Thank you to Ms Lee Long, Mr Liam Beatty and all of the Marist parents who came out to support the concert.
This week we welcome Mr Alexander Hides who commenced as our new Executive Officer. His presence will be very much appreciated after operating on a skeleton music administration staff over the last month. We look forward to Alex continuing the successful legacy that Mr Enrico Le Mura established over his successful tenure at the College.
Best wishes to the Year 12 students who will be undertaking tertiary auditions over the September break. With a record number of applicants from Marist, we are all looking forward to the results with great anticipation.
Please note that Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Choir, Big Band 1 and String Quartet will be performing at this event held at the Queensland Performing Arts Complex in Week 2 of Term 4 on Monday, 10th October. All of these ensembles will be rehearsing in Week 1, Term 4. All members (including Year 12 students) are expected to attend.
