AEFE

After the recent visit by the new French Consulate to Auburn High School, the AEFE seminar for all Principals and Directors in the Asia-Pacific region was held in person, after a two year hiatus, in Hanoi under the guidance of Mr Negrel, Directeur Adjoint de l’AEFE, and Mr Cario, AEFE delegate for the Zone.  This two-day meeting was an opportunity for the 75 participants from fifty AEFE schools in the zone to exchange information on the latest priorities for the AEFE and to work on the strategic plan for the zone with three key axes:  student progression, school network life and training and professional learning.  It was also a time for the AEFE central and pedagogical services (DEOF) and the new Regional Institute of Training (IRF) to lead several workshops on French secularism, equality, security, the new French International Baccalaureate (BFI) and pathways for students with the AGORA platform.  Overall, the seminar was an opportunity for very rich exchanges and a reflection on how we develop the French Ministerial accreditation within our context at AHS and renewal of our place within the AEFE network of schools.
