Worlds Teacher Day
LPPS Primary School will acknowledge and celebrate World Teachers Day Friday 28th October. World Teachers Day is a time when we can express our gratitude to the teachers at our wonderful school. Teachers are among the most important people in the lives of young people. World Teachers’ Day provides a great opportunity for students and the school community to recognise the highly committed teachers we have. Education is complex and constantly changing, and teachers are increasingly called upon to step up and manage issues the community places upon them – fitness, nutrition, drug education, bullying behaviour, road safety, bike safety, water safety, cyber safety, child protection, environmental education, adult education and the list goes on. Simultaneously teachers deliver curriculum programs in Learning Areas. Teachers are expected to provide our students with the skills, strategies and knowledge for their future. A significant task considering our complex and ever changing world. It is important that we express our appreciation to our teachers .
Uniform
The end of year will be upon us before we know it. I would like to invite you to place uniform orders in the next couple of weeks to ensure that the uniform arrives at the school before the end of term. Payment will need to be made on collection and you can collect before the end of term or the start of term next year.
Help Needed with Planting Plants.
Call out for help l know we are asking for lots of help from parents of late, however we are wondering if you can help out planting some plants on Wednesday 2nd November the day after Cup Day. A call out for 2 plant pot saucers, sallow round dishes for the butterfly mineral drinker. Wednesday Morning setting out the plants then planting and watering. Bronwyn Page will be here most of the day and if you can spare any time small or big it would be appreciated and we would love the help.
