Careers & Transitions

This term we have worked with CTS (Careers and Transition Support) and have introduced Ticket to Work to the current Work Placement Program. Ticket to Work is a supported School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship program aiming to give students experience of applying for a job and in the workplace.

Karl Cittadini has trialed this program and has had been successful through the interview process. This week he has completed Work Experience at Reece Irrigation in Fairfield. Next year, selected students will be invited to apply for this program.

Just a reminder, if your student falls ill, or is going to be absent from their work placement, you or the student needs to call the office and notify the school and employer of the absence. You also need to inform the bus supervisor of the dates of absence as well.

Please check Compass regularly as Careers and Work Experience updates will be sent via this system.

If you have any questions regarding the Work Placement Program please contact me at the School Tuesday's-Thursday's.

Careers Teacher / Work Experience Coordinator
