5/6 Hooptime

On Friday, the 24th of August, 16 students from year 5/6 represented St Raphael's at the PDPSSA Hooptime Competition, held at Coburg Basketball Stadium.

The students thoroughly enjoyed themselves and at the conclusion of the event, our 5/6 Boys finished as the runners up, narrowly losing the final to our neighbours at Preston West PS. Our 5/6 Girls finished in 4th. Special mention to Christian Ganino and Jessica Collins (Both 5/6A); who participated in the shootout, that was held between the round robin rounds and finals!

Parade Basketball

On Wednesday, the 29th of August, 14 boys from year 5/6 represented St Raphael's at the Parade Basketball Competition. This day was the first time Parade had run a tournament like this for their local feeder schools, and it was very well run by their year 11 VET students. Our two teams were fortunate enough to finish the day in 3rd and 5th position.

Thank you to Parade College for the invitation to participate in your inaugural tournament, and we look forward to continuing in the future. 

3-6 Athletics Trials

On Friday 17th August, our Year 3-6 students  participated in their Athletics Trials at Edwardes Lake Athletics Track. A big thank you to all the parents and guardians who showed their support to the students throughout the day, and for their assistance in timing and measuring the multiple events. Those students who qualified to represent St Raphael's at the PDPSSA event have received their permission notes, and their events are posted in the noticeboard next to the stage.

They will compete at Coburg Athletics Track on Tuesday, the 11th of September.
