The Year 11 students have their final assembly on Friday, 3 November which is also the last day of classes for them.

Year 12 VCE students did their ‘September Exams’ during the second week of the school holidays. Students got a ‘taste’ of where they are at with their studying and what sort of preparation is ahead of them leading up to the final exams.

On Wednesday, 18 October, the Year 12 VCAL students had their interviews where they show cased their folios for the two years they were in the VCAL program and discussed with the panel the skills, knowledge and experience they gained in the program and what they plan to do in 2018.

Year 11 VCAL students displayed their projects for ‘CHASE’ also on Wednesday, 18 October. Groups showed a power point and spoke of the projects benefits to the community group targeted. Students were well prepared and spoke clearly and proudly of their work with their CHASE mentors.

2017 Awards Night

Our 2017 Awards Night proved again to be a sensational evening, with a full house of students, their families and their teachers, coming together in a joyous celebration of the college culture of success and life-long learning. Our Guest Speaker, a former student of St Albans Secondary College,  for the evening was Ms Nade Petreska.

Nade studied Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Business (Human Resources) at Victoria University and completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Leo Cussen Centre for Law.  She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria as a practitioner in July 2017, however, she commenced her role with the Fair Work Commission as part of the Unfair Dismissal Case Management Team in December 2016. Year 12

On Wednesday, 25 October during the Whole School assembly, students came dressed up in costumes and paraded in front of the whole school during the assembly.

The school provided a Pizza lunch and students enjoyed their afternoon with some activities.  All students were then dismissed from school to begin their study week in preparation for their final examinations.

The Year 12 Exams commenced on Wednesday, 1 November, with English being their first exam - and will conclude four weeks later. We encourage students and parents to read the VCAA VCE Exam Navigator and End of Year VCAA Exam Timetable, to check on the dates and times of exams. Students need to be at the exam center ‘Nindethana’ at least half an hour before reading time starts for each exam.  Every student doing Year 12 subjects was issued with a hard copy of the Exam Navigator by the school last term, however a pdf copy of the Exam Navigator is available from the VCAA website at the following address:

http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/documents/vcaanavigator_web.pdf

The VCAA VCE Exam Navigator also provides the information about what materials students are permitted to bring into each of their examinations. By reading this through with your child you can ensure that they attend their exams at the right time and with the right equipment.

The VCAA VCE Exam Navigator also has a lift out section with the End-of-year VCAA Exam Timetable.
