Sustainability at St Raphael's

Congratulations passata kids!

Each year in June Darebin City Council holds it's annual Homemade Food and Wine Festival and members of the community, young and old are invited to enter their homemade produce.

This year, we entered our homemade passata and on Friday 7th June St Raphael's were invited to attend the award's night.

Here we received an encouragement award from the Mayor of Darebin and were invited on stage to share our knowledge in passata making with those present.

Congratulations and thank you to the children and families who attended the awards night and represented our school proudly.

Super snack Wednesday!

St Raphael's Kitchen is up and running and kids are loving SUPER SNACK WEDNESDAY.  Student's have been treated to homemade muffins, hot chocolate and cookies in recent weeks and have enjoyed their special mid-week treat.

In an attempt to minimise waste, we are using re-usable cups for hot chocolate and remind students to return cups to the tubs at the end of lunch for washing and reuse.

Also, a big thank you to the senior students who volunteer during lunch to help serve our snacks.  You are super!
