Leader of Curriculum News

I would like to welcome all students back to Marian in term 4, this is especially true for our current year 11 students entering into year 12 HSC courses. It is important that all these students listen carefully to the advice of their teachers regarding feedback from the Preliminary Examinations and clearly know which areas need improvement as they enter the final chapter of their schooling.

I have enjoyed meeting with many of our new Year 12 students to discuss and advise them on course changes in order to maximise their HSC results as they enter their HSC courses.

Congratulations to the three students taking on the challenge of Extension History and two students trialling in Extension 2 English this term. I am very encouraged by the potential and enthusiasm these students have shown.

I would like to stress to all these students that I feel it is important to settle any changes as soon as possible to allow for classes to be able to concentrate on HSC course content without disruption. If a student is still undecided, please be proactive and arrange a time to discuss this with their class teacher, the subject coordinator or myself.
