Principal News

Dear Parents, Students and Friends,

The final term has arrived for 2019. During the holiday the maintenance staff have once again been very busy with improvements and the gardens are looking lovely.  Our Basketball/Netball Courts have been resurfaced and marked. The bright paintwork has given the central courtyard a new fresh look.

Year 12 began their HSC Exams yesterday Thursday, October 17 and continue until Monday November 11. I ask that all in the Marian community keep our Year 12 students in your prayers.

Last Wednesday, the 2020 Student  Leadership Team was inducted and their leadership pledge was made in front of staff, students and parents. It is now their opportunity to show public leadership. The Marian Catholic College Vision Statement includes the sentence, “Embracing Mary’s way of courageous acceptance, we fulfill Christ’s promise of  ‘The Way, The Truth and The Life’…” Their challenges as good leaders include being courageous in being role models for all. I asked them to reflect and pray, seeking God’s guidance in all they do. They will also be working on a wide variety of portfolios encompassing the College Mission Statements in the Area of Faith, Learning, Care, Service and Stewardship.

I wish them every success in their endeavours. We pray that they continue to be blessed by God in the important roles they undertake.  “Rejoice, full of grace, the Lord is with you” Luke  1:28
