ATSI News- Julian Rice Memorial Fund

Julian Rice Memorial Fund
Applications are now open for the Julian Rice Memorial Fund for 2019. Julian Rice was tragically killed in 2012, as he rode his bike to Mass at St. Nicholas Church. Julian was a valued staff member and a man of great depth and humility. He was gentle, wise, peace-loving and deeply committed to his family, church and his work. Julian was particularly supportive of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students of the College. The Julian Rice Memorial Fund was established by Julian's family in honour of his name and generous nature.
The Julian Rice Memorial Fund will provide a $2000 cash scholarship to an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student from McCarthy Catholic College to support further tertiary study after the completion of their HSC. The scholarship payment, will be awarded to a Year 12 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student who is currently undertaking their HSC in the same year.
Applications can be collected from Mrs Faint and are due by the 31 May 2019. Please hand completed applications to the College Office.
