Girls Cricket

This far into the year our girl’s teams have been very successful in interschool competition, winning the Senior Girls and the Intermediate Girls in our Southern Peninsula school comp. The seniors then lost to the winner of the Northern Peninsula schools in a very ‘lack-luster’ performance. We will field strong teams in Year 7 and Year 8 competition carnival days in the coming weeks and I encourage all girls to continue to train, or start to train, for future competitions.

Pictured are our winning Intermediate girls. All winning teams at ‘Peninsula’ level will be displayed on the gym window in the future. Well done to all the girls competing in school girls cricket, Dromana  College continues to lead the way in this area of sport.

2016 Australian National Series

Toowoomba, Queensland

Dromana College Cycling Team members Riley Morgan (Year 12) and Cameron Wale (Year 11) both competed in the Under 19’s in Toowoomba, Queensland recently.

It was the last race of the series where Riley came 11th in the Cross Country Olympic and

Cameron  came 19th in Down Hill. It was very hot and humid and the course was dry and very dusty.

Both Cameron and Riley, along with a contingent of other Dromana College students, will race in Bright for the Australian Championships.

We congratulate both students on their success.
