Principal's Report
We must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them. President John F Kennedy
I welcome all students and staff back to the start of our second semester and trust families had time to share stories of both success and failure over the break. All should, by now, have received my letter home summarizing our recent developments. If not, please contact Fi to arrange a hard copy.
A new term creates new opportunities and I was very pleased to see so many take advantage of the recent Student/Parent/Teacher Evening to meet and work in partnership. I was also delighted with the number of Year 10 families that attended our new information evenings which have been purposely designed to maximize your access to other important educational needs while you are on site.
At this week’s assembly, I challenged each student to carefully review their goals for 2017. Now, it’s your turn! No matter what path our children choose in life, the ability to communicate their thoughts in writing in a way that others can easily understand is crucial. This term, I encourage you all, as parents to make the time, once a week, to stop and read a sample your son(s) and/or daughter(s) work. Share in their vision, ask them questions and discuss how successfully they conveyed their ideas.
I look forward to the term ahead.
