Falling from Grace

On Wednesday the 4th of September the Year 7 cohort left the College early to travel past Sorrento to Point Nepean National Park.  As part of the English curriculum, students have been reading ‘Falling From Grace’ in Term 3, which is set in and around Point Nepean.  Arriving at the Quarantine Station, students trekked along the Bay Beach Trail, before heading up to Fort Nepean.  Fort Nepean is infamous for its Harold Holt Memorial and the labyrinth of tunnels used during World War I & II.  Students were able to see key locations from the novel and engage with the environment throughout the day.  This excursion definitely helped student understanding of ‘Falling From Grace’ and will assist them in their assessment.
