Sustainability

Thank you to all the parents and students who have been bringing along their bread tags to school. We have another bundle to take to the drop off centre in Sorrento.

Our students in Prep have been learning about what the difference is between a fruit and a vegetable. Today they used three of their senses of smell, taste and sight to explore plants: coriander, parsley , thyme, oregano, dill and  mint. They have planted these in our wicking beds in the Friendship Garden. We will watch them grow at valet each day.

Our Year  1 / 2 students set up our worm farms, they discovered how important worms are to our environment and the ecosystem.

Some of our Green Gang students helping to propagate plants for planting out on Country with our volunteer groups later this month.

World Bee Day 20th May 2023

We will be celebrating World Bee Day on Friday 19th May. All classes will be making something tasty with the ingredient of honey. Students will be looking at why bees are so important to the environment.
