Learning and Teaching 

Dear Parents,

Thank you to those parents who completed the Parent Feedback Questionnaire - Student Led Learning Conferences. Your responses with help us moving forward with student reporting. From the data 82% of responses found the conferences informative and provided them with an opportunity to be able to discuss their child's learning and goals. Other feedback included:

Parents liked seeing their child's learning space

Students were proud of their work

Students enjoyed being part of their learning conversation and discussing with their parents how they like to learn.

Last Monday we were fortunate enough to have Lionel from Living Culture, and other invited guests to a Cleansing Ceremony and Acknowledgement to Country

for the FIRE Carrier Garden. Lionel shared his Aboriginal culture with us.

Students learnt about the relevance of cleansing ceremonies in Aboriginal culture and Lionel explained the local vegetation that he used to create the smoke and the significance and each tree.

Students were highly engaged when Lionel shared stories about collecting bush tucker and medicines from local plants.
