2022 Student Destinations
In 2022, Aitken College had 138 students complete their schooling to Year 12. 128 Students undertook VCE of which 15 completed an unscored VCE, and 10 students undertook the VCAL program.
82% of eligible students achieved an ATAR above 50.
Post Secondary School Destinations
92 students (72%) were successful in gaining a place within a University or Pre-University Course, with a further 9 undertaking studies with an Independent University Provider.
18 students moved into study in the TAFE system while 9 were successful in acquiring an apprenticeship, with a further 3 beginning pre-apprenticeship studies.
7 students moved immediately into employment.
Tertiary Destinations
22% of our students are now attending Victoria University (or its TAFE equivalent).
18% of our students are at Latrobe University, with 4 completing pre-University studies at Latrobe College.
16% are at RMIT University with a further 10% enrolling in the RMIT TAFE division.
The other popular choices include 10 students at Swinburne (or TAFE division), 8 at University of Melbourne, 6 at Monash and 3 at Australian Catholic University.
Fields of Study
Almost a quarter of our graduates (23%) have entered studies relating to either Architecture, Building and Planning (6%), Education (6%), Sciences (6%) or IT (5%).
18% of our students have chosen further study in the areas of Humanities, Social Sciences & Law and 17% in courses relating to Health. 13% have gone into Business and Commerce Studies, 11% Engineering and 10% Design, Film, Music & Creative Arts.
