Foundation Class

EASTER WEEK IN PREP

We are very excited to share with you what was happening in our Prep class the last week of Term 1 which we called ‘Easter Week’.

To celebrate the up and coming Term 1 holidays, the Preps had a fun Easter word hunt outside in our junior playground area. The students had fun looking for words, which they had to read and write on their clipboards, while getting in some exercise in the process. The word hunt was a great way for the students to practice reading CVC words with the learned phonemes.

In addition to the word hunt, the students also made bunny ears and noses, which they proudly wore around the classroom. This activity was a great way to foster creativity and encourage teamwork amongst the students. It was heart warming to see the students help each other with the activity and it was lovely to see them having so much fun.

As the week progressed, we ended the week with a BBQ which was enjoyed by everyone. The Prep students had a great time socialising with their classmates and teachers while enjoying some delicious food.

Another highlight of ‘Easter Week’ was the Colour Fun Run. This was the perfect way to wrap up the term. The students loved running around the oval and getting covered in the coloured powder, which was a great way to promote teamwork and friendship amongst the whole school.

Overall, it was a fantastic ‘Easter Week’ in the Prep classroom, filled with fun, learning and plenty of laughter.
