ICAN National Online Mentoring Program

The I CAN Network’s National Online Mentoring Program is having an impact on Autistic and neurodivergent young people who are socially isolated and face difficulties in life. I CAN believe in a rethink of Autism that moves young people from a mindset of ‘I CAN’T’ to ‘I CAN.’ They do this through respectful, peer-based programs that celebrate Autistic strengths, passions and shared experiences. The I CAN program has helped thousands of Autistic young people develop a stronger sense of self-acceptance, confidence, optimism and belonging. In the process, they are demonstrating the high level of innovation and positive social change that comes from valuing Autistic insights and talent.

‘I CAN’ online offers Autistic-led online group mentoring programs for 8 – 22-year-old Autistic people. The program builds confidence and social connection in a safe, positive environment. Autistic young people are able to be themselves, share their interests and common experiences with peers and benefit from I CAN Mentors as role models. All I CAN Mentors and staff have completed child protection training and hold current Working With Children Checks or Blue Cards. The program cost for parents is $285 for a 6-session program, and sessions are undertaken at home, online.

Parents can find more information about how to enrol their child in the online program at https://icannetwork.online/online/.
