P.E.

This week in P.E.

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter holiday break. It is great to be back at school and we are excited to see what Term 2 will bring in P.E!

NEW FOOTBALL GOAL POSTS:

Have you seen them?

The most spectacular new football goal posts you ever did see!

A huge thank you to Dave Koolstra for installing the new posts over the Easter holiday break. Thank you so much Dave, the students are so appreciative. They look fantastic!

NEW SOCCER NETS:

Mrs Costa has put together the new soccer goals for the oval. Students are now able to play multiple soccer games at a time which will make the oval a lot safer for all. New nets for the old soccer goals are also on the way!

NEW LINE MARKINGS:

Mrs Costa has organised new line markings for the basketball court! The current ones have faded so much we can barely see them. Watch this space for all new line markings to be painted soon!

NETBALL:

At the end of Term 1 and start of Term 2 all year levels dabbled in some netball skills. The younger students focused on ball skills while the older students developed their skills further by introducing netball drills and playing an actual game ready for Interschool Sport Netball for Term 2.

INTERSCHOOL SPORT:

Thank you so much Mr Mitch for all your hard work with Interschool Sport. There is so much behind the scenes work to get the teams up and running and I really appreciate all the support and hard work from Mr Mitch and the year 5/6 teachers. Well done to all students who participated in ISS last Friday. The first round ran smoothly and an extra congratulations to the Football team who won their game! We are really proud of everyone for your efforts!

CROSS COUNTRY:

Thank you to everyone who participated in Cross Country last week. It was so great to see everyone in their house colours and enthused for the day. Again, a huge thanks to Mr Mitch for all your hard work and behind the scenes work to get the day to be a huge success. Well done on your achievements everyone. A huge congratulations to the 60 students who have qualified for District Cross Country, what a great effort!

DISTRICT CROSS COUNTRY:

STATE SWIMMING:

A big CONGRATULATIONS to our super fish swimmer Tess Izard who came 4th in the 12-13 girls Breastroke 50m State Swimming Championships on Thursday. We are so proud of you Tess, what an incredible achievement!

INNER ASSEMBLY:

A special shout out to one of our parents, Penelope, for donating her own personal business books to use on rainy days in P.E. Inner Assembly is a small business who focus on kids' mental health and wellbeing themed colouring activity books. Penelope has donated some books for F-2 students to use during rainy days in P.E focusing on mental health and wellbeing. We are so excited to use these! Thank you so much Inner Assembly.
