Year 3 News

Well, term 2 has certainly started with a bang in Year 3!

Unit of Inquiry

We have started our new Unit of Inquiry called Where We Are In Place and Time. Each student was asked to bring along something of cultural significance to their family to show to their grade.

We had a large variety of artefacts from all over the globe and had great fun learning about all of our different cultures.

The Year 6’s came to visit the Year 3’s to perform their Unit of Inquiry plays based on defining moments in Australia’s history and the important changes were brought on by these historic events.

We thoroughly enjoyed watching the well-rehearsed performances and couldn’t believe some of these events such as the Darwin bombings actually occurred.

Year 3 Assembly

During our year 3 Assembly, we acknowledged the following students for a wonderful effort in completing 20 consecutive nights of reading: Lila M, Xavier N, Flynn G, Noah U, Spencer L, Aiden M and Cameron D.

A special mention to Jack W for completing 50 nights in a row. A fantastic achievement, well done!
