Holy Week 

Thank you to all the parents and carers who attended our Holy Week Presentation yesterday. Thank you to the Preps and the Year 6s students for leading it so beautifully. It is quite a somber occassion and it was really interesting to see the reaction of some of the students. Please ask them about it. 

Easter

Easter itself it a wonderful time of the year. Easter is the holiest day of the year for Christians. It celebrates their belief in the resurrection, or the rising from the dead, of Jesus Christ. Jesus was Jewish and he and his followers were the founders of the religion of Christianity. In Australia, Easter is always observed on a Sunday in the autumn, but its date varies.

An Easter Prayer

God of love, you gave us Jesus who lived here on this earth. 

He suffered and he died on the cross. 

We know you are there for those who suffer, 

for those who are hurt, 

who are sad or are alone 

just as you were with Jesus. 

May we learn to be more like Jesus in our own lives. 

We ask this in the name of Jesus who is your gift of love and our Easter hope.

Amen
