Around The Primary
Dear Parents
Here we are at the end of week 7 with all classes busy and buzzing with lots of learning. Our students are positive and engaged and teachers are working hard on giving them plenty of rich opportunities to engage with the curriculum, differentiating for various needs and abilities, supporting children’s transition back into friendship groups and overseeing each student’s sense of well-being and feeling of belonging.
We have had a smooth start to school each day this week due to the great efforts of our Primary community. Special thanks to
- students for embracing the ‘kiss and go’ farewell
- hardworking staff, in assisting the students to arrive and leave school safely
- parents for planning a calm, quick and positive goodbye
I would also like to thank parents for their vigilance in keeping children home when they are not well. I understand how challenging this is at times. particularly when both parents are working. Having a good rest, is in my opinion, the best way to get better as quickly as possible! Most importantly, students who are unwell must stay at home to reduce the risk of infection to others.
Safety is our number one priority and children (especially toddlers) need to be supervised by parents before and after school. Parents are reminded to be careful when driving around the College and to please drive very slowly as there are so many young children arriving and leaving at the same time.
Kind regards
Antoinette De Pinto
