Education in Faith

Feast of the Sacred Heart

We will be celebrating this feast with a Mass on Friday 19th of June. Traditionally, it has been an opportunity to be the love of Christ to others, reaching out to the vulnerable in our local area by donating non- perishable food items. Due to the current pandemic, the students will be watching the Mass via a recording Father Dispin will prepare.  All teachers will have this Mass on the screens in their classroom at 12pm on Friday. If you would also like to view this Mass from home it will be available on the St John's Parish website (see below).

Donations for Feast of the Sacred Heart

We are asking all families to donate some non- perishable food items as a sign of being the love of Christ to others.

Please consider donating one or some of the following non- perishable items:

Rice

Pasta

Pasta Sauce

Cans of soup

Cans of different types of food

Tooth paste

Any other non- perishable items you may have

Please ensure that the donations are unopened and well within their use by date. The children will need to bring these items into the classroom where a bucket will be waiting for them to fill. Donations are due by the morning of the 19th of June. These donations are then handed over to our Parish group of St Vincent De Paul volunteers for local distribution.
