HARMONY WEEK FUN!

In our school community, everyone belongs. We respect each other, and learn and play together in harmony. We acknowledge, show inclusion for and celebrate the diversity that makes our school community such a vibrant learning environment and a great place to be. Last Monday, after a discussion on the importance of acknowledging Harmony Week, each year level made commemorative posters with the theme of "EVERYONE BELONGS AT ST JOSEPH'S SCHOOL".  These beautiful collaborative artworks can be viewed on our stairway to the valet area when you visit for our Student-Led Conferences tomorrow.

After this, all classes made their way down to Sorrento Park for a special occasion to celebrate the differences we share but that unite us, through the COLOUR FUN RUN.  Thank you to the CFA for their time in showering our students, so that they were primed and ready to soak up the colourful paints!  The students took great delight running through the sprayed water and the bursts of colourful paints that decorated their white clothing! A massive thank you to all of the wonderful parents who volunteered their time and assistance to making our Colour Fun Fun a HUGE success! Thanks also to Jess Lumsden and Jacqui Hayes for their extra work in helping to organise the event.  Everyone had a terrific day! See some of the beautiful photos from the day below:

The following FREE workshop for parents, sponsored by the Mornington Peninsula Shire and Frankston City Council looks wonderful for helping us support our children in coping with strong emotions. See below for details :

I am happy and available to talk to if you would like to discuss the Social and Emotional Wellbeing needs of your child.
