From the 1/2 classrooms

While we have been learning from home for the last two weeks, the Grade Ones and Grades Twos have had a strong focus on wellbeing, maintaining a connection to each other, our school life and our learning. We’ve used our WebEx times for ‘Show and Share’, to play games, read stories, and hear from each other about some of the different ways in which we’ve been spending our days.

Something we have especially enjoyed has been the Art for Kids Hub, and we have done some fabulous drawings both as a group, and independently. This week, we tied this activity to our current Maths focus on two-dimensional shapes, and had a go at drawing dinosaurs using different shapes. We think they look great!

While we have missed each other, we have talked about some of the positive experiences we have had while learning from home. We hope you enjoy reading about some of these experiences below.
