New - Pyjama Day

New - Recycling Plastic Bread Bags & Bread Bag Tags

St Marys are participating in Wonder Recycling

What's this all about? In Australia, only 18%* of plastic packaging is recycled.

That's why Wonder Recycling Rewards has been created.  This is a fun and easy program for Aussie schools to recycle bread bags & bread tags at school, that might otherwise go to landfill.  Once collected, Wonder is going to turn the plastic into wonderful things like play equipment.

As a registered school, St Mary's will earn rewards points to redeem on new sports equipment from RHSports. PLUS we will go into the draw to WIN one of five exercise circuits made from the recycled plastic we collect.

A collection box is now available in the school office.

St Mary's Open Day

If families are unable to attend, please contact the office to arrange a suitable time.

New - AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

In the recent budget, the After School Program received funding until at least end of 2022.  It is great to realise that the 'powers that be' realise how important putting money into these programs and Primary school children is.  Keeping Primary school children active is so important.

Thank you from Maree

Change of Date - BOOK FAIR

TUESDAY 15TH OF JUNE - THE FAIR WILL BE HELD IN THE MARIAN CENTRE.

The Fair will be open for the day from 8.00am.

All books are good quality and are supplied by scholastic. The school receives at least 30% of sales in the form of books for our library.

2020 saw a record breaking $5,333.50 taken and $1866.70 books purchased for the library, which was amazing considering the year it was -no school, Covid. etc....  People came in during the day .  It was fantastic and just amazing.

A flyer will go home with the children next week about some of the books that will be available. There will also be a variety stall with pencils, rubbers, sharpeners etc.

So come along and have a look and support.

Many Thanks,

Maree and Narissa.
