Reconcilaition Week

Reconciliation Week

Reconciliation Australia’s theme for 2021, More than a word. Reconciliation takes action

Reconciliation is a journey for all Australians – as individuals, families, communities, organisations and importantly as a nation. At the heart of this journey are relationships between the broader Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We all have a role to play when it comes to reconciliation, and in playing our part we collectively build relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures.

2021 marks twenty years of Reconciliation Australia and almost three decades of Australia’s formal reconciliation process.

Updated - National Sorry Day

National Sorry Day was today, Wednesday 26th May

We held a Sorry Day Liturgy in the Marian Centre, in recognition of our indigenous culture. This was a very moving way to begin the week and it was great to see our newly formed Aboriginal choir singing "Burra Ferra" so beautifully!

Throughout the day, various activities were also held in the classrooms today and each class participated in painting rocks or pavers around the garden near the Junior toilets.

Reconciliation Week Activities

We have a variety of activities planned for the students to participate in during reconciliation week.
