Reconciliation Week

The lockdown couldn't stop our Reconciliation Week celebrations!  Thankfully restrictions eased on Friday and the  breakfast for our Aboriginal families and FIRE Carriers went ahead.  Tom Day (Willow and Kingy 

And our FIRE Carriers will be reading Dreamtime Stories in classrooms throughout the week. Thank you to Catherine Dyke and Tina Thompson for organising the wonderful activities for the students and families.

Sporting Achievements

Congratulations to Zoe Williams, Jayde Wyhoon, Stella Wood and  Layla Ratcliffe on their effort to represent St Mary's at the Division Cross Country event in Broadford.  

And to Kaiden Whittaker for being selected to take part in the final try out for the Victorian Football squad! Good luck kids!

 

Breakfast Club Donation 

Thank you to Trent Freer and Freer's Panel Works for the substantial amount of money donated to our Breakfast Club.  Maree Williams was thrilled with this very generous gesture.

St Mary's Open Day

St Mary's is having an Open Day TOMORROW (Thursday 27th May) for prospective parents.  An information session will begin at 11:45am followed by student led tours around the school.  Please pass the attached flyer on to any interested families.

Interschool Sport 

Well done to all the Gr 5/6 students who took part in the winter sports day last week Friday. We had football, soccer and netball teams compete and all students represented St Mary's in great spirit!

Our footy team went close to winning the GV title after only losing one game by a goal to the eventual winners.

Weekly Mass Online

Each Saturday, a video of Mons Peter celebrating the Sunday mass is emailed out to families and parishioners. Click below to view last week's mass:

Week 5 Louise Garcia

Louise is a hard working and organised student who is well liked by others due her friendly nature and her good sense of humour.  She is mature for her age and is confident to make decisions without worrying what others might think.  Well done Lou!

 

Week 6 Nate Bale

Nate is a very enthusiastic student who enters the classroom each day with a positive attitude. He enjoys taking on challenges and often adds to the classroom atmosphere with a song and a dance! What a great classmate!  Well done Nate!
