Principal's message
Dear Parents, welcome to the last week of term 2.
This week we farewell Liz Maher as she completes her teaching at St. Bernard’s.
Liz first began her teaching career at St.Patrick’s School Wangaratta in 1985.
In 1993 Liz moved across to St. Bernard’s, where she has diligently supported and nurtured the children in her care for the past 30 years.
Liz is looking forward to enjoying some travel up north during the remainder of 2023.
We wish Liz all the best as she enjoys her well earned rest.
The school community together with Catholic Education Wangaratta and Catholic Education Sandhurst will present Liz with a gift of gratitude on Wednesday evening when our staff farewell Liz at a special dinner.
On Thursday the children will gather just before play to farewell Liz.
Changes to Outside School hours Care.
Several weeks ago stepping Stones informed us that they would no longer be providing After School care at St. Bernard’s.
St. Bernard’s has partnered with a new independent provider called TheirCare to provide exceptional Outside School Hours Care services for our school community.
TheirCare invite parents to a Webex meeting on Thursday 22nd of June at 6.15
The program is available for all children at St Bernard’s Primary School Wangaratta from 7:00am until 8:45am in the morning and from 3:20pm until 6:00pm each school day.
Families wishing to use this service can visit the TheirCare website: www.theircare.com.au
Families are eligible for a Government Rebate called the Child Care Subsidy which can reduce the cost per session by up to 90%.
More information can be obtained by contacting the school or ringing TheirCare Support Team on 1300 072 410.
TheirCare provides a stimulating and safe environment for all children. During sessions, children develop life-skills, friendships, confidence and creativity through play-based programs.
