Dads and Kids Bowls Afternoon

On Sunday 18 June, the Murrumbeena Dads Group ran their first school event, a dads and kids bowls afternoon at Murrumbeena Bowls Club. 

Threats of hail and wild winds amounted to nothing, as our group of around 90 adults and kids enjoyed a sunny afternoon of bowls, pizza and good times- and so very many dad jokes! The kids of Murrumbeena Primary School are all over how to correctly roll a bowls ball now too, as demonstrated by prep student Alice G rolling with laser precision to take out the $20 prize for the “Closest to the Dollarbucks” round. 

Enormous thanks go to the staff and volunteers at Murrumbeena Bowls Club for their warm and supportive hosting of our event. Thanks also to Murrumbeena dad Sam, from Toscana Pizza, who supplied us with the pizza.

And our sincere thanks to the wonderful Murrumbeena school community, for showing their support for our first dads and kids event. Hopefully the first of many more!
